Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja has excused the solicitation by ex governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello for excursion of the arrest warrant issued against him by the court.
The judge said the ex governor, having been in disdain of court by his refusal to make himself accessible for arraignment in a lawbreaker allegation, was not qualified for be conceded any carefulness or favor.
Conveying administering on Friday in Bello’s application
for the release of the warrant of arrest, the court held that Bello was underestimating the court by his proceeded with refusal to make himself accessible for arraignment in the court.
While excusing the solicitation for absence of legitimacy, the court said that Bello can’t be in that frame of mind of his room and be directing to a courtroom where he is to be summoned.
The Judge additionally excused the ex governor’s case that the Federal High Court has no ward to hear the lawbreaking accusations against him.
Justice Nwite held that Bello should make himself accessible for arraignment first and his supplication taken before he can continue to make any application or solicitation.
Bello on April 23 contended that the arrest warrant against him had become pointless since his lead counsel, Abdulwahab Mohammed, acknowledged the help of the lawbreaking accusations for his benefit in regard to the alleged N80 billion money laundering charge brought against him by the Federal Government.
