Rivers State: Gov Simi Fubara approves New road project
Simi Fubara the governor of Rivers State, had a crucial State Executive Council meeting today where sundry policy issues were raised and discussed.
He said “We are pleased to announce the approval of the Trans Kalabari road which is one of our administration’s signature projects. The massive project is quite notable as it is meant to open up our people in the Kalabari axis connecting them to Port Harcourt without having to go through the East-West road.
The project, which has been rigorously evaluated and approved by the Bureau of Public Procurement, is important considering its critical and strategic nature including the terrain where it will crisscross to the heart of Kalabari land.
Mobilized from the state’s internally generated revenue, the project is expected to be completed within 32 months.
