The FG has Commissioned a 76.67km Highway in Oyo State.
Vice President Shettima has officially opened the 76.67km Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Highway in Oyo State Fulfilling President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision of boosting state development and unity through improved infrastructure. The project highlights the importance of infrastructure in driving progress and economic growth.
During the commissioning ceremony, VP Shettima emphasized the significance of well-built roads in connecting communities and driving economic activity. He praised Governor Seyi Makinde for his commitment to infrastructure development and noted the project’s role in promoting economic growth and national cohesion.
Governor Makinde highlighted the importance of data-driven infrastructure projects in enhancing the socio-economic well-being of the people. He emphasized the road’s role in facilitating movement within and between cities, as well as supporting the development of agribusiness value chains.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and other political leaders. The commissioning of the Adebayo Alao Akala Memorial Expressway marks a significant milestone in reducing the infrastructure deficit in Oyo State.
