Labour Party speaks against ₦494,000 Minimum wage, urged Organized Labour to have a rethink.
Labour Party has cautioned organized labour against the nationwide strike declared over the demand for a new minimum wage of ₦494,000.
The party believes that this demand is unrealistic and could worsen the hardship faced by Nigerians. Instead of striking, the Labour Party suggests that workers’ unions should continue negotiations with the government to reach a figure that is acceptable to both parties.
The party emphasizes the importance of ongoing negotiations and urges organized Labour to work with the government’s current offer of ₦60,000 while discussions continue.
The Labour Party aims to avoid any actions that could further exacerbate the challenges faced by Nigerians.
