President Tinubu urges citizens, stakeholders, institutions, and development partners to work together for a prosperous and clean economy future on World Environment Day.
The President is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2060 and has established the Presidential Committee on Climate Action and Green Economic Solutions to oversee climate efforts.
The President also approved the creation of Evergreen City, Nigeria’s first Green Industrial Zone. He aims to plant 25 million trees by 2030 to protect the environment and provide opportunities for youth in the green economy.
President Tinubu emphasizes the importance of afforestation, water conservation, and ending tree felling to heal the land and its people.
