Student Loan: NELFUND says 35,000 students have Applied For Loan within a Week.
The Nigerian Education Loan Fund NELFUND
The Managing Director of NELFUND, Akintunde Sawyerr, stated that over 60,000 individuals have registered on the education loan platform.
However, only about 50% of those registrations have resulted in loan applications. Sawyerr explained that the discrepancy is due to issues with schools providing incomplete and inaccurate data.
NELFUND is working to rectify this problem and ensure a seamless application process.
Sawyerr also mentioned that the application portal will be open to the public year-round to accommodate as many students as possible.
