The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, George Akume, has accused Labour union of treason for causing the national grid to shut down during a nationwide strike.
He made this statement while meeting with the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Abuja, stressing that interfering with the grid is a grave offense and economic sabotage.
Akume also mentioned the government’s initiatives to revive the economy and alleviate financial struggles, such as offering CNG buses, rice, and other necessities to the public. He urged for cooperation between the church and the government in developing infrastructure for the people.
