Abia State Governor Alex Otti, visits the families of the 5 soldiers killed in Aba.
The soldiers were ambushed and killed by gunmen in Aba, with the military confirming that the attackers were members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN).
The Governor announced that the state government has received reliable information regarding the killing of five soldiers in Aba on May 30th 2024.
Alex Otti shared this during a visit to the 144 Battalion, Nigerian Army at Ngwa High School in Aba. He assured the soldiers that efforts to gather intelligence on the incident are yielding results and will continue.
The Governor encouraged the soldiers to stay focused and not be discouraged by the situation, emphasizing that the government is determined to bring those responsible to justice. He praised the Nigerian Army for their dedication to protecting the citizens of Abia State and urged the soldiers to remain vigilant despite the loss of their comrades.
